My Childhood Vanity Mirror and Why I Loved It

I loved my childhood vanity mirror very much. We had recently moved to a new house and I finally got my own bedroom rather than sharing space with my younger sister. My parents took us to a furniture store and let us look around. I saw a romantic French style bedroom set I loved with white painted wood and gold trim. I especially loved the vanity table with its large mirror. It all reminded me of the furniture in Barbie doll sets. My parents said they wanted to shop around more. After a week or so, I had almost forgotten about it. It was a big surprise when I got home from school and my father asked me to go get my boots from my room so we could all go do some yard work. I was feeling cranky until I opened my bedroom door and saw the furniture I loved. I finally had a room as pretty as Barbies.

I’ve Decided to Give Woodworking a Try

I have been wanting to get into wood working for a very long time. Now I am finally going to do it. A friend of mine who is a carpenter is going to help me get started. And I have picked my first project. It’s going to be a piece of oak furniture that will replicate something I saw on the Internet. It’s a book shelf.

Having a friend who is already into woodworking will make things a lot easier. He already has all the tools that I will need for this first project. That way I don’t have to make any big investments in tools before I give woodworking a try. Once that oak bookshelf is complete, I have a spot to put it in my house. I’m going to put the shelf in my office, where I can finally pull my books out of storage and put them on display.

Why Klingons Would Never Use a Daybed Bedding

As part of a psychological test I have recently been asked why Klingons would never use a daybed bedding and like any Star Trek fan I started thinking about what I knew of Klingon beds and if they matched in anyway the concept of the daybed. And the very thing that came to mind was that Klingons do not really use mattresses but that was not really a good answer because it still meant that they might use a daybed with something that could be considered a bedding on it. And then I realized how pointless my chain of thought had been because there is one characteristic about Klingons that undeniably refuses the very concept of the daybed. And that is Klingons do not relax, or at least they do not pause to feel relax but go hunting or spar among themselves. So it is obvious if you think about it that no Klingon would ever use a daybed and therefore would never even touch a daybed bedding set.
